What I’ve Been Loving.

I’ve decided to show you all what I’ve been loving. Some of these I’ve rediscovered and some are new discoveries that I’ve had so far this summer. I feel like during the summer I get to know myself more and I get to discover hobbies or items that I end up loving. I wanted to share this with you all because you might get to discover something new for yourself or you may notice you have something in common with me!

» Baseball inspired hats: I seriously used to despise this trend because I thought I looked so bad in hats, but one day I was so annoyed with my mess of a hair, that I decided to throw on my LA dodgers baseball hat. And kids, that’s where it all began. I soon got so many more including the Monsters University hat from Disneyland. That’s the one I’ve been wearing the most. If you haven’t already, give baseball hats a try!!! You will look great, I promise!

» Music: Okay, we all know I’m obsessed with music. But I had to share with you all these two bands that I’ve been loving!!! Catfish and The Bottlemen have been on shuffle non-stop. As well as, CRUISR. I seriously can’t get enough of these two bands. Every song I hear from them, I fall in love with. But, I do have some favorites which are featured on my Jun/Jul 2016 playlist that I have made on spotify (1975julia). It includes sooooo many of my other favorite artists and songs on there.

» The book, milk and honey: Lately, I’ve been reading a whole bunch of poetry. I’ve also been trying out poetry, a new hobby of mine. I was highly recommend this book so I decided why not use my Barnes And Noble gift card to purchase it. {Pro tip: buy books online, they are so much cheaper!} I freaked out when it finally came and couldn’t help but start reading it. I finished it. And I did cry, just like people had told I would. I found myself relating to so much. I will definitely be re-reading it very soon.

» Disneyland: If you didn’t know, I have an annual pass to Disneyland. And have had one since I could get one. It’s a tradition in my family, my Disney family. It’s so hard for me to get to go during the school year, so now that it’s summer I’ve been going one or sometimes two times a week, with my mom or with a friend. I’m Disney obsessed so I never get tired of walking into the park. Also, you can catch lots of Pokemon there!!! Such a plus!!! Disneyland recently {July 17th} celebrated its 61st birthday and I luckily was able to spend it there. Can’t wait to spend more summer days in my favorite place.

» My Polaroid: I got this beautiful baby last summer at my local flea market for only $40 bucks and the guy gave me three packs of film with it all! I was so happy. I used it all last summer,  but as soon as winter came it went in my closet. Summer came back and so did my polaroid. I don’t really know why I don’t use my polaroid during the winter, but I know that the summer sun inspires me to use it so much more. And that’s what I’ve been doing. I bring it every where with me. It’s what I’ve been loving.

» My Black Kånken: I love this bag so much. I use it for everything! For my trips to Disneyland, for everyday use, and recently for traveling. I’ll be going to San Francisco in the next two days and I know I can trust this bag to be my trusty carry on. It’s so fashionable and so easy to bring anywhere. It even fits almost anything.

» Being Positive: This is a bit weird to put under a “what i’ve been loving” list, but it’s true. I seriously have been loving my new lifestyle with positivity. This has changed me a lot, I’ve been noticing so many things about life. Letting go of hatred, letting go of grudges that I’ve had, has changed me. I’ve stopped caring, not in a bad way but in a way where I don’t care what people think about me. Of course, there are gonna be times where I do care about those things, but it hasn’t been as bad as it used to be. I’ve also been able to cope with my anxiety more, which has always been difficult for me. Although I know that I am not a perfect human being, I am gonna be sad and angry. But I think at the end of the day after I’m upset, I can sit down and I can look around my life, look at the world around me, and even in me and understand that I can’t just sit here dwelling on all those bad thoughts. I have to focus on the great moments in my life. I can’t wait to move on with my life in this way.

I hope you all enjoyed and were maybe able to discover something new. Or maybe you found out that we have something in common. Either way, thank you for reading. I was thinking of maybe doing a book club type of video/ series on my youtube where I share the books I’ve been reading during the month. I’d love to know if you’d think that’d be interesting to see. I also will be having a traveling post up and a positivity inspired post, so look out for that!

Xoxo, Julia.
